Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or engaging our services. By accessing belfastwebapps.co.uk or instructing us to carry out work on your behalf, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Our Services

Belfast Web Apps provides the following services:

  • Custom website design and development
  • Web application development
  • E-commerce store design and development
  • Digital marketing and SEO
  • Social media management
  • Ongoing website support and maintenance

3. Quotations and Proposals

All quotations provided by Belfast Web Apps are:

  • Valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
  • Based on the project scope and information provided at the time of quotation
  • Subject to revision if the project scope changes after acceptance

4. Project Agreements and Acceptance

A project commences when the client provides written confirmation of acceptance (by email or signed proposal) and pays any required deposit. By accepting a proposal, the client confirms they have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

5. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • A deposit of 50% of the total project fee is required before work commences
  • The remaining balance is due upon project completion and prior to the website going live
  • Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date
  • Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998
  • Belfast Web Apps reserves the right to suspend or withhold work in the event of non-payment

6. Client Responsibilities

To enable us to deliver your project on time and to the agreed specification, the client agrees to:

  • Provide all required content, images, logos and materials in a timely manner
  • Review and provide feedback within the agreed timeframes
  • Ensure that all content and materials supplied are owned by the client or that the client has the necessary rights to use them
  • Ensure that one nominated person acts as the primary point of contact for the project

7. Revisions and Changes

Each project includes a reasonable number of revision rounds as agreed in the project proposal. Additional revisions or changes requested outside of the agreed scope may be subject to additional charges, which will be communicated and agreed in advance.

Significant changes to the project scope after work has commenced may require a revised quotation and timeline.

8. Project Timelines

Belfast Web Apps will always endeavour to meet agreed project timelines. However, timelines are dependent on the client providing required materials and feedback promptly. Delays caused by the client may result in revised delivery dates. Belfast Web Apps accepts no liability for losses arising from project delays outside of our reasonable control.

9. Intellectual Property and Ownership

Upon receipt of full and final payment:

  • Full ownership of the completed website design and custom code passes to the client
  • Belfast Web Apps retains the right to display the completed work in our portfolio and marketing materials unless the client requests otherwise in writing

The client confirms they own or have the legal right to use all content, images and materials supplied to Belfast Web Apps for the project and indemnifies Belfast Web Apps against any claims arising from the use of such materials.

Third-party software, themes, plugins and licensed assets used within the project remain subject to their respective licence terms.

10. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive business information shared during the course of a project and not to disclose it to any third party without prior written consent, except where required by law.

11. Hosting and Domain Names

Where Belfast Web Apps arranges hosting or domain registration on behalf of a client:

  • The client is responsible for ensuring hosting and domain renewal fees are paid on time
  • Belfast Web Apps accepts no liability for website downtime caused by third-party hosting providers
  • Domain names registered on behalf of a client remain the property of the client

12. Support and Maintenance

Ongoing support and maintenance services are available and will be agreed separately in writing. Support services do not include the development of new features or functionality unless specifically agreed. Belfast Web Apps reserves the right to decline support requests that fall outside the agreed scope.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Belfast Web Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, any website or application we have developed
  • Our total liability to the client shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific project in question
  • Belfast Web Apps does not guarantee specific results from digital marketing or SEO services, as search engine rankings are subject to factors outside our control

14. Cancellation

Either party may cancel a project by providing written notice. In the event of cancellation:

  • The client shall pay for all work completed up to the date of cancellation
  • The deposit is non-refundable unless Belfast Web Apps is the cancelling party
  • Belfast Web Apps will provide all completed work and assets to the client upon receipt of any outstanding payment

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland and England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.

16. Changes to These Terms

Belfast Web Apps reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website at belfastwebapps.co.uk. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
